Choose a base, plan your airport journey and explore Jeju with a transport plan that fits your trip.

Planning suggestion: shortlist Jeju City for an airport-side base, Seogwipo for a south-coast base, or an east/west coastal stay when that area is the main purpose of your trip. The nearest scenic photo is not enough to choose a hotel.
Pin your accommodation, arrival point and two priority visits. Test the arrival journey and the return journey at the time you expect to travel. Without a car, check the walk to a bus stop before paying for accommodation.
Planning suggestion: use buses for a small number of connected stops, consider a rental only after checking driver eligibility, or compare a prebooked driver/tour when your stops are scattered. Do not assume every remote attraction has a convenient return ride.
Price the whole day, not just one journey. For a driver or tour, confirm pickup area, hours, route, language, luggage and cancellation terms. For a bus day, save the final connection back to your accommodation.
Jeju Airport lists bus 600 on the airport–Jungmun–Seogwipo corridor and shows its limousine stop in front of Gate 5. Confirm the route and stop at the airport on your travel day; the stop nearest your hotel may still involve a walk.
1. Save your hotel’s Korean name and address. 2. Match the destination stop in the official airport route list. 3. Check the current timetable and the walk from the stop. 4. For a late arrival, arrange an alternative before leaving the terminal.
Visit Jeju describes rental pickup at off-airport lots reached by shuttle. Use your own provider’s reservation instructions for the meeting point, shuttle bay and operating hours. The car is not necessarily waiting outside the arrivals door.
Before flying, save the reservation, provider phone number and pickup instructions. At collection, record existing damage and the fuel/charge level. On departure day, leave time for vehicle return, inspection and the shuttle back to the airport before airline check-in.
Visit Jeju recommends a transport card such as Tmoney and says it can be bought and topped up at major convenience stores. Tap when getting on and off. A bank card or a payment-wallet balance is not automatically your transit balance.
Ask at the shop how your card can be topped up and keep Korean cash available. Check the balance before leaving town. Use the current Jeju fare table for your route category; this guide does not repeat the older fare amounts in the tourism overview.
The official tourism overview identifies Jeju and Seogwipo bus terminals, plus Daecheon in the east and Donggwang in the west, as useful transfer points. Use them as map references; they are not a guarantee that every connection runs frequently.
Planning suggestion: choose one area for the day, check the current departure and return, then add nearby stops. Save the bus number, direction and stop name in Korean. Carry a screenshot of your hotel address in case you need a taxi for the final leg.
As one provider example, LOTTE’s English FAQ requires a valid passport and original International Driving Permit for customers using an IDP. Eligibility, vehicle class, payment and coverage conditions must be checked for your own booking. A reservation alone does not establish that you can collect the car.
Ask the provider to confirm your issuing country, permit class, age and required originals before paying. Pack your home license as well. Confirm every driver, the damage-waiver terms, fuel policy, child-seat availability and return time. The linked provider is an information source, not an endorsement.
Jeju Tourism Organization lists +82-64-740-6000 and English support, with an online-chat route on its visitor-information page. Contact them with a place name or route question when a Korean transport notice is difficult to understand.
Save your current location, destination and travel date before asking. You can use the official page’s chat link while connected to data or Wi-Fi. Service hours and language availability should be checked on that page; tourism support is not an emergency service.
